Mission Statement
The purpose of Spinifex Ministries is to further the work of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by providing pastoral care and building and property maintenance to evangelical Christian missions, individuals and churches that are ministering to Aboriginal people or to people in remote and isolated areas of Australia. Our goal is to keep those in ministry, in ministry longer.
Spinifex Ministries is a non-denominational evangelical ministry.
Origin
Spinifex Ministries was formed in 2002 following the vision Phil & Cathy had while in MMM (Mobile Mission Maintenance), seeing the need for a personal, pastoral care ministry.
Since January 2004, Spinifex Ministries has been operating as a support to evangelical Christian missions, individuals and churches that are ministering to Aboriginal people or to people in remote and isolated areas of Australia.
Where Does Spinifex Ministries Operate?
Spinifex Ministries operates in areas where pastoral care to those in ministry is limited or unavailable. For the most part, we predominantly focus on the Northern Territory and the North of Western Australia.
How Does Spinifex Ministries Operate?
As pastoral care is all about relationships, Spinifex staff revisit the same ministers/missionaries once a year - sometimes more, to strengthen the relationships that they have established. They also keep on top of the recipients maintenance each year so that the recipients can focus more on their ministry and not have to worry about the maintenance of their church or mission buildings and properties.

And Partnership Teams - People who have caught the vision and are supporting Spinifex staff prayerfully and financially.
Each of the Spinifex Ministries staff are also accountable to their sending churches and any other relevant denomination hierarchy.
Spinifex Staff are also obligated to send relevant reports and reviews to all the above.
Its a Mobile Ministry
Spinifex Ministries operates as a mobile ministry. With their mobile homes (which are self-contained), they are able to move throughout the outback and minister to those they help more effectively.
How Spinifex Ministries Is Financed
Spinifex Ministries is a faith mission, meaning that it and it's staff are voluntary and only financed by the generous gifts of those who also believe in the work of Spinifex Ministries.
We Need You!
Spinifex Ministries cannot operate alone. We need people to be partners in this work. We need people who will pray for the work and for the staff, to write to the the staff and encourage them and to support them in other practical ways.
